Although Feijoas are a fruit, they add something special, and very Kiwi, to this easy pasta sauce with a twist. To be honest, most people wouldn’t know what the special flavour is, just that it tastes incredible.
PREP TIME 10 Minutes
SERVINGS 2-3
1 400g can Crushed Tomatoes (or the floppy ones from the fridge)
2-3 Medium Feijoas, peeled and diced.
3 tsp dried Italian Herbs
Salt to taste
3-4 cups Cooked pasta
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Place the oil in a pot and warm on a medium heat. Add the herbs and fry until fragrant. Add the tomatoes and feijoas and bring to a simmer. Cook until the feijoas soften and mash to combine with a potato masher. Taste and add salt as required.

Stir into cooked pasta and serve warm.
