RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the flour, baking powder and 1 tablespoon of the sugar in a bowl. Make a well and add the wet ingredients and stir until a dough forms. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until the dough becomes springy.
Heat your oven to 180°C. Using your hands, roll the dough into 10cm long finger sized logs. Then join the ends together and press into the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar. Place each biscuit on a lined baking tray and continue with the rest of the dough. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the biscuits are golden.
If you wish to ice the biscuits, wait until they are cool. Mix the icing sugar and milk together to form a glaze and dip each biscuit in the glaze or drizzle the glaze over the biscuits to create a lined effect. Store in an airtight container.
